Privacy policy

Last updated: August 2026

This page explains what data the Aether Labs website collects, why, and what rights you have. It is written to be read, not buried.

Who is responsible for your data

This site is operated by Aether Labs, a hobby project based in Sweden. Aether Labs is not a registered company; where commercial transactions take place, Polar.sh acts as merchant of record. For the purposes of this site, Aether Labs is the data controller for the data described on this page.

What we collect

We collect as little as possible, and only what serves a clear purpose:

  • Messages you send us If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide — only to answer you.
  • Language preference The site stores your chosen language in your browser so it can show the right language on your next visit.
  • Technical logs Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability.

Analytics

We do not currently run third-party analytics on this site. If we add analytics in the future, it will be covered by the consent banner and this policy will be updated before it goes live.

How contact form data is handled

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to the studio's email and handled manually. We use the details you provide only to reply to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your contact details.

Cookies and consent

The site uses only necessary cookies today (language preference and consent choice). Optional categories — analytics, advertising, and preferences — are off. If we turn any of them on, you will be asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time. See the cookie policy for details.

Advertising

We do not currently run advertising cookies or show personalized ads. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will use a consent management platform, ask for your consent before any advertising cookie is set, and keep records of your choice.

Third-party services

The site relies on the following services, which process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and server logs
  • Google Fonts — fonts loaded for display

This list is kept up to date. If we add analytics or advertising providers, they will appear here.

How long we keep data

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted. Server logs are retained according to the hosting provider's policy. You can ask us to delete data we hold about you at any time.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY)

Children's data

Our site is aimed at adults running venues and events. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and note the date above. Material changes will be called out on the site.
